The Chama Valley is home to talented artists and artisans and offers a wide range of shops, trading posts, studios, boutiques and quaint stores. Be sure to stop by Tierra Wools storefront! Annual Studio Tours in Chama, El Rito and Abiquiu provide a great opportunity to see amazing work. Chama's studio tour is hosted on Labor Day weekend each year.

Take a scenic drive up Cumbres Pass to the Continental Divide Trail, up 64 to Pagosa Springs to spend the day soaking in the hot springs or south over the mountain towards Taos.
Cumbres & Toltec Train
Hidden away in a little unknown corner of the souther Rocky Mountains is a precious historic artifact of the American West. Built in 1880, the Cumbres Toltec Scenic Railroad is the finest and most spectacular example of steam era mountain railroading.
Ghost Ranch is located south of Chama on the far eastern end of the Colorado Plateau. On your way, be sure to stop by Bode's a funky gas station/mercantile to grab a burrito on the go.
